Director, Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Trevor Mataranyika is the Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS), where he provides strategic leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and management of the University’s digital ecosystem. He is responsible for driving the University’s digital transformation agenda by leveraging innovative technologies to support teaching, learning, research, innovation, administration, and community engagement.
With extensive experience in ICT leadership, enterprise systems development, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and ICT governance, Trevor has led the successful implementation of numerous technology initiatives that have enhanced institutional efficiency, security, and service delivery. His areas of expertise include enterprise applications, systems integration, cloud computing, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, ICT strategy, artificial intelligence, digital governance, ICT project management, and business process automation.
Under his leadership, the ICT Directorate continues to modernize the University’s digital infrastructure through the deployment of secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions. His vision is to position ICT as a strategic enabler of the University’s mission by delivering resilient digital services that empower students, staff, researchers, and stakeholders.
Trevor is passionate about harnessing emerging technologies—including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, automation, and data analytics—to build a smart, connected, and future-ready university.
