1. ASSISTANT REGISTRAR/PRINCIPAL ASSISTANT REGISTRAR-
HUMAN RESOURCE (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
.
• Assisting the Deputy Registrar- Human Resource in formulating and reviewing of polices as well as implementing and monitoring of HR policies.
• Assisting in ensuring that policies SOPs process and systems are adhered to by the HR Section on all human capital resourcing activities.
• Ensuring that each HR portfolio establishes and implements relevant HR metrics and dashboard.
• Ensuring compliance with University policies and HR legislation in the day to day activities of the section.
• Keeping abreast with trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in HR management and employment laws.
• Assist the Deputy Registrar-Human Resource in overseeing all HR activities from employee entry, stay and exit.
• Preforming other duties as assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• BSc HRM or equivalent,
• At least a master’s degree in HRM or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the HR field.
• In depth knowledge and application of Zimbabwean labor laws is a must.
• Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of NEC Construction and Agriculture Industry operations a must.
2. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT-HR/ASSISTANT REGISTRAR-HR
(1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting the Principal Assistant Registrar in implementing HR policies and SOPs.
• Assisting in faculty and departmental HR planning.
• Assisting in the identification, attraction and retention of talent.
• Conducting staff induction.
• Identifying and coordinating staff training and development programmes.
• Administering employee contracts in time with labor laws and maintaining an accurate employee data base.
• Creating, reviewing and maintaining job descriptions.
• Assisting in handling employee grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Leave management.
• Servicing University Committees.
• Any other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
• BSc in HRM or equivalent.
• MSc in HRM is an added advantage.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Knowledge of NEC Agriculture and Construction Industry operations a must.
• Good communication skills and interpersonal relations.
• Knowledge of Labour Laws and best practices in HR field.
