MSUAS Launches SAFETIPS
Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) has launched SAFETIPS, a secure online whistleblowing platform that enables staff, students and members of the public to report suspected corruption, misconduct and abuse of power.
The initiative reflects the University’s commitment to promoting ethical conduct, strengthening institutional accountability and fostering a culture of transparency and integrity.
SAFETIPS aligns with Zimbabwe’s ongoing anti-corruption and governance reforms, including the proposed Whistle-Blowers and Witness Protection Bill, H.B. 4, 2026, which seeks to establish a legal framework for public interest disclosures and the protection of whistle-blowers and witnesses.
The platform allows users to submit reports and supporting documentation without creating an account or providing identifying information. Its privacy safeguards are designed to protect the identity of reporting individuals, including measures to prevent the collection of IP addresses, timestamps and device details, and to remove metadata from uploaded documents. Reports are routed directly to designated institutional recipients for assessment and appropriate action, in accordance with established procedures.
Through SAFETIPS, MSUAS seeks to strengthen confidence in institutional reporting mechanisms and encourage individuals to speak up against wrongdoing without fear of exposure.
Report suspected corruption through the official SAFETIPS portal:
Integrity is everyone’s responsibility. Your voice matters.
