Admission Requirements Join Us
To be admitted to this programme a prospective student should satisfy the following conditions:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Biological Science in related subjects e.g., Agriculture and Natural Resources Management, Agronomy, Animal Science, Animal Production, Crop Science, soil science, Land and Water Management, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Wildlife Sciences, Horticulture and Irrigation Degrees or related fields from any recognised University or,
- Have any first degree plus a relevant Postgraduate Diploma in Agricultural Studies from a recognised institution of higher learning.
- In exceptional cases, the Senate may admit students not meeting the above-mentioned requirement (5.1 and 5.2), provided such candidates can show that they are well qualified to undertake postgraduate work, based on research and academic work they have conducted and relevant experience acquired.
Career Prospects
Graduates from this program can pursue careers in agro-based industries, government departments, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), educational institutes, research institutions or be self-employed as consultants and agro-entrepreneurs.
Objectives
The programme aims to equip students with skills and knowledge that enhance the ability to produce high quality products under increasingly complex environment that promotes principles of agroecology in a sustainable manner.
