Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) is actively participating in the ZimTrade Service Sector Engagement Workshop currently underway in Mutare.

The consultative workshop brings together key stakeholders across service industries including research, engineering, architecture, finance, arts and culture, information and communications technology (ICT) as well as logistics to map actionable pathways for boosting service-based exports.

The primary objective of the event is to engage public and private service actors, identify trade barriers, and unlock institutional capacity for service export growth.

For MSUAS, participation aligns directly with Zimbabwe’s Education 5.0 philosophy which emphasises research, innovation, industrialisation, and service provision including the university’s strategic partnership with ZimTrade.

Service exports, particularly in research, higher education, engineering, and digital services, represent a high-value frontier for foreign currency generation, knowledge transfer, and regional competitiveness.

Participants at the workshop are engaging in comprehensive sessions designed to enhance export readiness and international market integration.

For MSUAS and fellow institutional stakeholders, the workshop bridges the gap between academic innovation and market commercialisation.
