Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) has commenced its August 2026 Orientation Programme, welcoming new first-year students to the Fernhill Campus in Mutare for a five-day programme aimed at familiarising them with university life and preparing them for academic success, personal growth and meaningful participation in society.

Running from 3 to 7 August 2026, the orientation is being held under the theme, “Building Integrity, Transforming Communities: Developing Purpose-Driven Graduates for Education 5.0 Excellence.”

Whilst welcoming the students, Executive Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Isheunesu Amon Chaka, said their university journey should go beyond academic achievement, emphasising the importance of integrity, purpose, innovation and service to humanity.

Dr Chaka challenged students to embrace the University’s Communiversity philosophy by connecting their learning to real community needs and developing innovative solutions that contribute to national development.

He urged students to become creators of solutions in line with Education 5.0, encouraging them to look beyond their career aspirations and reflect on the impact they want to make in their communities.

The five-day programme covers key aspects of university life, including registration and administration, academic regulations, student conduct, health and wellness, campus safety, research and innovation, spiritual development and student leadership.

As MSUAS celebrates its 10th anniversary, the new students are being welcomed into the next chapter of the University’s journey, with a call to uphold integrity, pursue purpose and use their education to transform communities.
