FARM OPERATIONS
1. BOILER OPERATOR SUPERVISOR (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Boiler Operator Supervisor overseas the operations, maintaining and safety of all boiler systems used in tobacco curing. The role ensures efficient heat supply to the curing burns, supervising boiler operators, and maintaining compliance with safety operational standards to support high quality tobacco production. The following are the key responsibilities.

- Supervising and coordinating daily activities of boiler operators and maintenance of staff.
- Overseeing operations of boilers to ensure consistent temperature and pressure for tobacco curing.
- Planning and monitoring boiler usage schedules in line with curing timelines.
- Ensuring proper start-up, operation, and shutdown of all boiler systems.
- Inspecting boilers, pipes, valves, and heating systems regularly.
- Troubleshooting complex mechanical and operational faults and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitoring fuel consumption and implementing cost effective fuel usage strategies.
- Maintaining accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance and safety checks.
- Training and mentoring boiler operators on safe and efficient work practices.
- Enforcing compliance with health and safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ensuring proper heat distribution across all curing barns.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate or Diploma in Boiler operations, Mechanical Engineering or related field,
- At least 3 years of experience operation boilers, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of boiler systems, pressure controls, and heat distribution.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and system diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High level of safety awareness and compliance.
2. LIVESTOCK SUPERVISOR (1 POST)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent shall be responsible for the following:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the livestock, including feeding and health care of all domesticated animals.
- Maintaining accurate records of production, veterinary treatments and inventory.
- Liaise with animal welfare and safety standards.
- Inspecting livestock for signs of illness, injury or unusual behavior and notifying Operations Manager or veterinary of illness or injuries.
- Ensuring all animals are treated humanely and in accordance with government regulations.
- Coordinating activities such as breeding, feeding, and health maintenance.
- Supervising cattle herders and ensuring they perform their tasks effectively.
- Preparing reports on livestock production, health and management.
- Developing and implementing livestock management plans, including diseases control and breeding programs.
- Ordering supplies such as feed and veterinaries.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Animal Science, Livestock Management, Animal Health or related field.
- At least 5 years working experience in commercial livestock production.
- Strong Leadership, record keeping and problem solving.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good record keeping and reporting skills.
- High level of safety awareness and compliance.
